Yesterday, I castrated 6 goat kids and a ram lamb. Woohoo, I am the DESTROYER. We also banded the tails on all our lambs - the band cuts off the blood supply to the tail and it will eventually just fall off. No blood, no gore. Same thing happens with the testicles, though I am thinking I would like to try the crusher method and see if that causes less pain. Lots of cleaning yesterday, and working on the book. It's so funny - I was naive, when I finished the book, I was like "Two weeks, max, and it will be ready to sell!", and here I am three weeks later or so, still working on it, but just about ready to submit some queries... I think.
